We’re taking bookings for 2022! So when should you visit Scotland?

We’re open all year, for a full English language immersion, and for a chance to experience the Highlands of Scotland, and Edinburgh too. Would you like to visit us in Spring, Summer or Autumn? What are the advantages and disadvantages of each season in Scotland?

Whenever you come, you’ll have the chance to speak lots of English and to have expert one to one English lessons, focusing on any aspects of general or business English you want. You can come on your own, send your teenager to us, or or come as a family with children of any age.

Spring:

The weather is changeable, but often beautiful. There are wild flowers and blossom everywhere. Crieff is (probably) the best place in the world for bluebell woods. There aren’t many tourists.

Summer

The weather is warm, but rarely too hot. Scotland is a great place to escape to if you don’t like 30 – 40 degree heat, as the temperature here rarely goes above 26 degrees.

And it’s a great place to escape the tourist season too. We have tourists here, but we can take you to lots of beautiful places where you may well see no-one at all. Like here, for instance:

There are wonderful wild flowers in the summer too. And Crieff is full of cherry trees – we eat a lot of cherries. We go raspberry and strawberry picking too.

Would you like to go swimming in a Highland loch or a mountain stream? Most (but not all) people prefer to go wild swimming in the summer! This mountain pool is as deep and as spacious as a public swimming pool, but a little bit colder:

Another summer activity that is highly recommended is the traditional Highland Games. Usually held in Crieff in late August, but available elsewhere on various dates:

Autumn

Scotland’s autumn and even winter colours are stunning. And the weather in September and October is usually excellent. There is something very special about the light in Scotland, and it’s an amazing place for sunsets, sunrises and rainbows.
