Between these hills above our town of Crieff lies something unexpected – the beautiful Loch Turret, which supplies water to Scotland’s largest city, Glasgow.
After a day stuck inside yesterday, I stretched my legs with a quick evening walk along the shore of the Loch. I saw lots of wild birds, a few sheep, some rabbits and a couple of deer. But no humans.
The path runs all along the eastern side of the Loch, and continues up into the hills.
